ALBUM PREMIERE & LAUNCH EVENTS

This year marks ten years of the Irish Sound, Science and Technology Association. Over the past decade, ISSTA has hosted conferences and concerts across the island of Ireland and online. We celebrate this history with the launch of Tides, an anthology compilation album that captures a selection of the vast array of artistic work shared at ISSTA events over the past ten years.

This July, ISSTA launches anthology compilation Tides: An ISSTA Anthology with an online party and a livestream premiere:

– Fri 23 July 6-9pm: Livestream Premiere of Tides: An ISSTA Anthology on YouTube

– Sat 24 July 6-8pm: Online Launch Party featuring discussions with featured artists on Zoom.

TIDES: AN ISSTA ANTHOLOGY

Tides: An ISSTA Anthology captures important works by 24 artists who have featured at ISSTA events over the past ten years. This represents a cross-section of a rich history of activity in electronic and acousmatic music, soundscape composition, live performances, and sound installations.

The album will be available on Bandcamp on the Stolen Mirror record label, and will be featured on SARC Radio later this Summer.

10 YEARS OF ISSTA

Since its foundation at the University of Limerick by Dr Kerry Hagan, ISSTA has hosted conferences and festivals featuring papers, concerts, workshops, and installations. ISSTA represents a diverse community of musicians, researchers, technologists, makers, and artists, within Ireland and beyond. Its goal is the transdisciplinary promotion of research and creativity in sound.
