Paolo Gatti studied guitar and piano. He is graduated in environmental engineering at the Tor Vergata University of Rome, in sound engineering at the Tor Vergata University of Rome, and in computer music at the S.Cecilia Conservatory of Rome. He is a composer of electronic music. Some of his compositions have been performed in Italy: at the “Argentina” theatre, at the “Emufest” , at the “MAXXI” museum, at “Cariplo Factory” in Milan and worldwide: at the IFIMPAC 2016 (festival organized by the Music College of Leeds) in Leeds, at the NYCEMF 2016 (New York City electroacoustic music festival)in New York. In 2015 he was one of the awarded composers at the end of the "Claudio Abbado" national prize (music and new technologies section). In 2017 his composition Senhalte earned a special mention at the “Forum Wallis, Swiss contemporary music festival”. The same composition has been selected at the ISSTA (The Irish Sound, Science and Technology Association) international Festival of Dundalk (ireland). He recorded for "VideoRadio" music label, Neuma Records.He is also a teacher in the field of electronic and electroacoustic music. From 2015 he collaborates with the “Mondo Digitale” foundation, leading computer music courses in various schools of Rome. Actually, he lives in Malta (he won a scholarship organized by Regione Lazio and in collaboration with the “Master in Sonic Arts” of the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome) and he collaborates with the Music Department of the Tor Vergata University of Rome.
